Actor John Lloyd Cruz shared that he and big screen partner Sarah Geronimo are now busy shooting their second film titled "You Change My Life."
In an interview, Cruz said they are half-way through the movie, which is the second installment of their box office hit, "A Very Special Love."
"Half. We are halfway through. Marami pang kailangang gawin pero marami rami na din kaming nagagawa. Medyo mahirap ang naging first part ng shooting kasi yung first part ay konektado din sa first one sa 'AVSL o A Very Special Love' nagkaroon kasi ng time lapse, so may transition," the actor said.
Fondly called as Lloydie, the actor said it's been hard doing the sequel of "AVSL" because of people's high expectations.
"Parang mas mahirap ngayon. Maraming nangyari. Siguro mayroong, parang subconsciously, lahat kami ay parang kabado and up on our toes, kasi I guess mas mataas ang expectations this time, at kahit i-set aside namin yon ay nandoon pa din. Ang maganda, yung hindi nawawala ay kung paano namin na-eenjoy yung araw namin kagaya ng kung paano namin na enjoy yung shooting days namin noong first part," Cruz added.
The hunk is also happy that this early, people are already excited to watch the next Sarah-John Lloyd film.
"Alam mo, I wouldn't be surprised, kasi noong nag-concert siya, nag-play lang 'yung theme song namin ay grabe talaga ang reaction ng mga tao. Ilang months na yung nakalipas, nandoon pa din yung excitment at kilig," he added.
According to Cruz, the title "You Change My Life" came from Miggy's (John Lloyd) love song for Laida (Sarah) in "AVSL."
"If im not mistaken, kanta ni Miggy 'to kay Laida," he said.
Cruz said that people can expect a different angle in "You Change My Life". The couple will be facing their individual problems and a third party will challenge their romantic affair.
"Bale, iba ang magiging approach sa istorya...Marami kaming dapat harapin as individuals na medyo macha-challenge sa relationship namin. Sa kanya. may darating din sa buhay ni Laida. Sa kanya, may darating na medyo gugulo sa isip niya," he said.
Cruz, the 2007 Box Office King, said he's not expecting the same level of success, but he will be happy if he will end up as the Box Office King of 2008.
"Hindi pa natin masasabi 'yan. It's too early to say, kagaya nitong nakaraang film fest, ang daming tumabo sa takilya. Kung ano ang nangyari last year, baka mabago pa 'yon but I'm hopeful. Siyempre masarap na maulit ang experience ko, and this time, kung mabigyan kami ng chance na kami ang magkatambal sa Box Office, I'm hopeful na ma-experience namin together," he ended.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, “You Change My Life” is the post-Valentine presentation of Star Cinema and Viva Films.
