We knew the Duke and duchess wanted a second child. Meghan announced in November that she had suffered a miscarriage last summer. But tonight an announcement which the couple's spokesperson called exciting news, "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," they said. The Sussex's first child, Archie, will turn two in May. Archie was the Queen's eighth great-grandchild when he was born in Windsor in 2019. But he has spent more of his life in North America than he has in the UK.
