NASA's James Webb Space Telescope NASA's journey beyond stars is officially underway. The space agency got exactly what it wanted for Christmas with the successful launch of the James Webb Space Telescope.  Folded inside the nose cone of the European Ariane 5 rocket, the $10B space observatory lifted off from its launch site Arianespace's ELA-3 launch complex at European Spaceport located near Kourou, French Guiana early Christmas morning. NASA's James Webb space telescope represents a new era in space discovery. The James Webb Space Telescope is NASA's largest and most expensive scientific probe ever sent into space.   As each rocket stage fell away, Webb was set loose. Cheers went up and images of the earth receded as the most powerful space telescope ever build began a voyage in search of the birth of the universe.  It's going to replace the 31 year old Hubble Space Telescope as the premiere space observatory. 'Hellbound' tops Netflix Chart  Netflix has another Korean language hit.  'Hellbound,' the latest webtoon-based fantasy horror K-drama that debuted November 19th was one of Netflix's most popular show last month.  The drama depicts how a society falls into a living hell after a series of inexplicable supernatural phenomena.  In the drama, death angels announce death sentences on people and social unrest arises as monstrous creatures appear to carry out the executions.  It is six episodes long and story wise with of course zero spoilers, it is basically if you have done something really bad in the past like if you have murdered someone or you have done something awful you get a message from a demon saying for example you're gonna die in five days and you're coming to hell. According to calculation based on Netflix's weekly lists of top titles, it was a streamer's number 5 show of the month and was watched for at least 111 million hours globally.  The

Rihanna The Caribbean islands nations, Barbados, has become the world's newest republic severing its colonial bonds with Britain nearly 400 years after the first English ships arrived there. One of its first acts as a republic was to declare superstar Rihanna a national hero. The Royal Standard was lowered over Barbados and it became a republic. Some of this country's most well-known names were among the VIP guests attending the transition ceremony.  Rihanna said of all awards she's received nothing compared to being recognized by her home country. "The people y'all are the true heroes of Barbados and I take y'all with me whereever I go. I'm so prod to be a Bajan." Rihanna has held the honorary title of Ambassador for Culture and Youth in Barbados since 2018.
