On July 14, 2023, Jungkook, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, made a spectacular solo debut on Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series. The event took place in New York City's Central Park and was broadcasted on Channel 7 starting at 7 a.m. Despite an unexpected thunderstorm that forced an early end to the show, nothing could stop Jungkook from delivering an unforgettable performance.

Jungkook kicked off the concert with his 2018 BTS solo single, "Euphoria," captivating the audience with his powerful vocals. He then performed his highly anticipated first official global solo debut single, "Seven," which was released on the same day. The song features Grammy-nominated American rapper Latto, who Jungkook praised as the "perfect fit" for the track during an interview with GMA's Juju Chang. The music video for "Seven," featuring actress Han So-Hee, had already garnered over 71 million views by Friday afternoon.

In addition to "Euphoria" and "Seven," Jungkook also performed "Dynamite," a smash hit from BTS's 2020 album. His performances were recorded due to the inclement weather and broadcasted on Good Morning America, allowing fans worldwide to enjoy his energetic stage presence.

During his interview with GMA, Jungkook shared that his fellow BTS members — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, and V — had heard his new music and loved it. He also revealed that he enjoyed working with Latto on "Seven," describing the collaboration as "amazing."

Despite the abrupt end to the concert due to severe weather, fans remained in high spirits, having witnessed what was initially planned as a sound check transform into a full performance. Many fans had waited in line for days to see the K-pop superstar perform, demonstrating their unwavering support and love for Jungkook.

Jungkook's performance on Good Morning America marked a significant milestone in his career, as he became the first K-pop solo artist to perform on the Summer Concert Series. His successful solo debut, coupled with his heartfelt interactions with fans and insightful interview, further solidified his status as a global pop star.
