#Alive Becomes the World's Most Popular Korean Film on Netflix
#Alive is the only Korean film to be included in the Top Movies on Netflix list.
Shortly after being released by Netflix, #Alive immediately achieved the feat by becoming the world's most popular film on Netlix, and became the first Korean film to win this ranking.

Reporting from The Korea Times, according to FlixPatrol, a streaming analysis firm that records daily updated video on demand charts for 211 streaming platforms in 83 countries, the zombie thriller managed to rank first on the Top Movies on Netflix list, on Thursday (10/9/2020), after two days of release.
Not only that, #Alive also managed to become the best film in 35 countries, including the United States, France, Spain, Sweden, Russia, and Australia.
#Alive, starring Park Shin Hye and Yoo Ah In, tells the story of two people isolated in an apartment during a zombie attack in the area.

Yoo Ah In plays Joon Woo, a game streamer and electronics expert, while Park Shin Hye plays Yu Bin, an individualist woman who loves hiking.

The two different characters must cooperate using their own methods, in order to survive when all contact with the outside world is cut off by a zombie attack.
The film, directed by Cho Il Hyung, began airing in South Korean theaters on June 24, 2020, and attracted 1.9 million viewers even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Through Netflix, international viewers can enjoy #Alive and cultivate their interest in Korean content and new hallyu (Korean wave). We hope that the extraordinary works of Korean creators will continue to be enjoyed by viewers from various cultural backgrounds,” said one Netflix official.
