Bar Refaeli Tax Evasion: Israeli supermodel sentenced to 9 months of social services due to tax evasion

 

Famous Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli was sentenced to nine months of community service for tax evasion. The Israeli court also sentenced her mother, Zipi Refaeli, to 16 months in prison. This ruling ends a case of tax evasion that has tarnished the image of this once-loved Israeli icon.

Famous Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli was sentenced to nine months of community service for tax evasion. 

The Israeli court also sentenced her mother, Zipi Refaeli, to 16 months in prison. This ruling ends a case of tax evasion that has tarnished the image of this once-loved Israeli icon. 

The said case arose due to her failure to declare her revenues from her international career.

Refaeli entered the Tel Aviv courthouse accompanied by his mother Zipi, and father Raffi, and their team of lawyers. 

Last July, the 35-year-old model and her mother were found guilty of evading nearly $ 10 million in income taxes. 

According to an appeal filed with the court, in addition to paying the government millions of dollars intaxes, the two were also ordered to pay a fine of 1.5 million dollars. 

Zipi Refaeli is scheduled to begin his prison sentence next week. 

The 35-year-old model who has three children from an Israeli businessman has denied the allegation where she said she already lives abroad so she should no longer have to pay taxes.

House Approves Marcos Day (September 11) in Ilocos Norte

President Ferdinand Marcos The House of Representatives has approved in the third and final reading the law declaring September 11 as a special non-working holiday in the province of Ilocos Norte in commemoration of the birthday of former President Ferdinand Marcos.
