Father of the Bride 3 (Ish): Netflix revealed teaser for mini sequel FATHER OF THE BRIDE 3

If you grew up in the nineties, you will have fond memories of Nancy Meyers and Charles Shyer's Father Of The Bride and its sequel, THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE II. In these films, Steve Martin played the family man George Banks, who collapses in the first film when his daughter, Annie (Kimberly Williams) announces that she is getting married. In the sequel, Annie has a son but, surprise, so does George when his loving wife, Nina (Diane Keaton), also gets pregnant.

They were such "pretty" movies, and now, in a welcome surprise, Netflix announces that the entire cast, including Martin, Keaton, Williams, the much sought-after Kieran Culkin (who played Matty) and Martin Short (as the exotic glider from Franck weddings) will be back for a mini-sequel called (Father Of The Bride Part 3 (Ish)) which will debut on Netflix, YouTube and Facebook on Friday, September 25 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET.

Nancy Meyers wrote and directed the mini-sequel, benefiting World Central Kitchen, which is working to provide meals to children and families affected by COVID-19.

It's interesting to see this show up on Netflix given that the movies were produced by Touchstone Pictures, a Disney affiliate, but a good cause is a good cause, so perhaps they were generous with the rights.
