'Flower of Evil' Episode 16 - Synopsis of Finale, Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won Say Thank You

The Korean drama Flower of Evil has arrived at the final episode which will air Wednesday (23/9) evening South Korea time. After various problems and mysteries for 15 episodes, here is a synopsis of episode 15 of Flower of Evil which promised to contain the solution to the mystery of Do Hyun-soo's life.

Flower of Evil Episode 16 Finale

In episode 15, Do Hyun-soo (Lee Joon-gi) lost control and almost killed Baek Hee-sung (Kim Ji-hoon) because he thought his wife, Cha Ji-won (Moon Chae-won) had been murdered.

However, at the right moment, Cha Ji-woon appeared, made sure he was still alive, and tried to keep Do Hyun-soo from killing Baek Hee-sung. In a state of confusion, Hyun-soo finally chose to remove the gun in his hand and hugged his wife.

The police began to move to arrest Baek Hee-sung. Unfortunately, the police lost quickly because Baek Hee-sung opened fire on Cha Ji-won and Do Hyun-soo.

Now in episode 16, several months have passed from this incident. Do Hyun-soo now has to face the law. He sat on the chair as a witness in the trial.

With a gaze full of tension, he made up his mind to reveal the mystery that had been hidden so far.

For a dozen years, Do Hyun-soo lived in the shadow of his father's serial murder case. He is also a fugitive on charges of murdering a figure in the village where he lives and accusations of being a serial killer assistant.

The trial was conducted openly because some ordinary people participated in the trial and could indicate someone was guilty or not. Cha Ji-won and Kim Moo-jin (Seo Hyun-woo) were also present at the trial.

Cha Ji-won also expressed his hope that Do Hyun-soo could live freely with his identity without a shadow of the past. However, she realizes that this also contradicts the choices her husband made a dozen years ago.

As reported by Star News via Naver , the Flower of Evil production team said all the fragments of the mystery that occurred dozens of years would be completely put together and finished in the final episode.

"Do Hyun-soo, Cha Ji-won, Kim Moo-jin, and Do Hae-soo (Jang Hee-jin) will each make new choices. So please watch how their story unfolds and the emotions they convey," said the production team.

Episode 16 of Flower of Evil airs Wednesday (23/9) at 22:50 KST on tvN.

Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won Say Thank You

Marking the completion moment of the drama Flower of Evil , Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won expressed their gratitude to the entire crew involved.  

“The drama Flower of Evil finally ended after seven months of shooting. To be honest, when I first started, I felt a lot of pressure, whether I could play this role well, "said Lee Joon Gi, reported by Soompi , Wednesday (23/09/2020).

Lee Joon Gi thanked the director, writer, entire crew and cast who were involved during the shooting process of Flower of Evil since seven months ago. 

The 38-year-old actor also expressed his gratitude to the viewers who have always been loyal to support him. 

“Even though every project is memorable, I think this drama will last a long time in my mind. I want to thank everyone who loves Do Hyun Soo (his role) and Flower of Evil , I love you all, "said Lee Joon Gi. 

The same thing was conveyed by Moon Chae Won. She also revealed that she would always remember the process of making the drama Flower of Evil . 

“We have worked for three seasons from warm spring to cool fall. So I still don't believe Flower of Evil will end soon, ”said Moon Chae Won. "I tried my best, I think the drama Flower of Evil will always be remembered," she added. 

Although there were some scenes that were difficult to do, Moon Chae Won said that thanks to the audience's support, she was finally able to overcome them.

“I want to thank the viewers for liking this drama. I wanted to express Cha Ji Won's character and emotions as perfectly as possible, but there were some difficult moments. Thanks to the viewers' love, I managed to overcome it, "she said.

Moon Chae Won also had the pleasure of working with director Kim Cheol Kyu and writer Yoo Jung Hee

Flower of Evil tells the story of the relationship between Baek Hee Sung (Lee Joon Gi) and Cha Ji Won (Moon Chae Won) who is married and has a daughter, Baek Eun Ha (Jung Seo Yeon). Cha Ji Won works as a detective who has successfully handled various cases. 

Their married life looks perfect, Hee Sung seems to love Cha Ji Won and Baek Eun Ha so much. However, everything changed when Baek Hee Sung's real identity was exposed and he was suspected of being the serial killer.
