Heat vs Celtics: Miami Heat Beat Boston Celtics in Overtime in the First Game of East Conference Finals

Miami Heat managed to secure their first game over Boston Celtics in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Erik Spoelstra's team ended Celtic's resistance through a dramatic fight in this match.

Miami Heat managed to secure their first game over Boston Celtics in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Erik Spoelstra's team ended Celtic's resistance through a dramatic fight in this match.

Playing at the ESPN World of Sports Complex, Florida, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Heat struggled to win in this first game. 

Jimmy Butler was an important figure in Heat's victory through his contribution of points when there is only 12 seconds left over time.

Butler lured the opponent into a foul in the dying minutes. He then scored points with free throws to bring the Heat ahead 116-114. Moments later, Dan Bam Adebayo blocked Jayson Tatum's attempt to equalize with three seconds remaining.

Adebayo then made one of two free throws and allowed Heat to finish off Celtics with a final score of 117-114. Meanwhile, Tatum, who finished the game with 30 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, failed to throw a three-point shot when the bell was over.

Goran Dragic became the top scorer for Heats in this match. Dragic led the scoring with 29 points, then Jae Crowder added to his team's lead with a contribution of 22 points. Then in third position there is Butler with 20 points. 

The second game between Heats vs Celtics will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020.
