Bagyong Pepito: Part of Luzon, at signal No. 1 (PAGASA)

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 1 has been raised in some parts of Luzon as Tropical Depression "Pepito" approaches the Philippine land.

In the latest bulletin of PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) at 11:00 am, it was subjected to signal No. 1 the eastern part of Isabela (Palanan, Dinapigue, part of San Mariano); as well as the northern part of Aurora (Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag).

The 16th typhoon to hit the country was last seen 475 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.

It is moving westward at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour (kph) per hour. It has wind speeds of 45 kph near the center with gusts of up to 55 kph.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is expected in Quezon province, as well as in Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Caraga, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and Sarangani.

PAGASA warns of the possibility of flooding and landslides.
