Lakers' Ferocity Ends with a Championship, Lebron MVP, All for Kobe Bryant

The Los Angeles Lakers were crowned NBA Champion led by LeBron James after beating the Miami Heat, 106-93, in Game 6 of their best-of-seven finals held in the bubble at the Walt Disney facility in Florida.

It was a decade before the Lakers Nation once again won the Larry O ’Brien trophy, which is considered the ultimate tribute to the memory of ‘Black Mamba’ Kobe Bryant’s legacy.

LeBron James won his fourth NBA Finals MVP award which he cemented after a triple-double performance of 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the title-clincher, proving why he is called King James.

In Game 6 against the Miami Heat, the Lakers poured all their weapons right from the start, advancing 64-36, the biggest advantage of a team in NBA Finals history after halftime.

From start to finish, LeBron maintained his shooting form where he led the Lakers' offense to ensure victory, determined to end Los Angeles' long thirst for the championship.

During the garbage time, the Lakers loosened the defense a bit because they had more than 20 points and by the last two minutes LeBron, who contributed 28 points, had been released to rest for their championship celebration.

Anthony Davis, who contributed 19 points and 15 rebounds, was also found to be hiding because he was crying with joy after tasting his first championship ring on the Lakers team.

The other Lakers players have also worked hard and not only LeBron James and Anthony Davis have taken the lead.

Also praised was the good performance of Alex Caruso who contributed 4 points; Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, 17; Rajon Rondo, 19 and Danny Green, 11.


On the Heat side, their superstar Jimmy Butler was limited to just 12 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

Bam Adebayo was the top scorer in the game with 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, but his effort did not work this time.  This is Adebayo's best game since his injury where he did not play in Games 2 and 3.

Even the return of Miami point guard from injury Goran Dragic, who suffered a plantar fascia tear in Game 1, did not work for the Lakers' ferocity.  Drajic posted just five points from the bench.

Based on the history of the franchise, this is the 17th Lakers championship which also took a decade before they again won the prestigious Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

The Lakers last played in the Finals in 2010, which included NBA great Kobe Bryant and pocketed his fifth and final championships.

The gradual return to the pinnacle of Lakers' success began when they captured James.  Although in his first season in LA, James was booed but by 2019-2020 the team got even stronger until they got the prize catch Davis.  This paved the way for the Lakers to be the top team in the Western Conference.

For James this is his record-setting 260th playoff game.  LeBron was also the first player to lead three different teams for the title.  Two of his championship rings were when he was still part of Miami.  LeBron was also selected unanimously, as the Finals MVP for the fourth time in his career.
