Maria Bakalova Made a Memorable Breakthrough as Borat's Daughter in Borat 2, Who is She?

Who is the actress next to Borat? She played the role of his daughter named Tutar and participated on an equal footing with Sasha Baron Cohen during their ascent to the top of American politics, but no one recognizes her.  Borat's daughter is played by the young Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova. 

In the new Borat film, Borat Sagdiyev, has a daughter who brings her to America to marry her to a high-ranking politician in Washington. Vice President Mike Pence has been targeted.

She's now getting international fame for her role especially for the controvercial clip from the "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" which showed 76-year-old Rudy Giuliani (former New York Mayor Donald Trump's personal lawyer) and Bakalova in a hotel room.

In the video, Borat's 15-year-old daughter Tutar, played by Bakalova, poses as a fake TV journalist and asks Donald Trump's personal lawyer to join her for a drink in a hotel room that was equipped with hidden cameras.

The former mayor of New York can be seen fiddling with his un-tucked shirt and getting into his pants when Bakalova removes the microphone.

They are interrupted by the main character of the film, Borat Sagdiyev, who bursts in and declares that his 15-year-old daughter Tutar is "old for you."

Maria herself confirmed her participation in the film on her Instagram account.

Maria Bakalova

Bakalova was born on July 4, 1996 in Burgas, Bulgaria. At the age of six she started singing and flute lessons.  She studied at the National School of Arts in Burgas, majoring in acting for drama theater and a second major in flute.  In 2019 she graduated from the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts (NATFA) in Sofia in the class of Prof. Ivan Dobchev.
 

According to the data about her in the IMDb film base, she starred in the Bulgarian films "Transgression" directed by Valentin Todorov and "The Father" by Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva.

She also starred in Ivaylo Penchev's new film "Last Call", which premiered earlier this year. She has also starred in the TV series "Tipichno," as well as in several short films. For her role in "Transgression", she won the Best Actress award at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival.

According to Bakalova's Instagram posts, she has been in Los Angeles since January.

The 24-year-old actress has followed in the footsteps of many famous Hollywood stars with Instagram posts in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, and has also featured luxurious poolside selfies taken in Los Angeles.
