League of Legends: Wild Rift |
Online game development and distribution company Riot Games' new title "League of Legends: Wild Rift" begins open beta testing (OBT) from the 28th.
"Wild Rift" is a mobile version of "League of Legends" (LoL), or a new work independently developed to achieve the best level of completion on the platform. Like LoL, it is serviced for free on mobile.
Riot Games plans to first conduct OBT in Japan, Southeast Asia, including Korea, and then expand to Europe, Oceania, and Americas. Meanwhile, "Wild Rift" was well received as a highly complete game by providing a play environment optimized for mobile platforms while maintaining the gameability of LoL through a closed beta test (CBT) that was conducted from October 8th.
"Wild Rift" is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre that is played in 5:5 matches, the same as LoL, and the Runeterra worldview is applied. Riot Games has optimized Summoner's Rift and all the champions, dragons, minions and items that exist there.
It aims to provide the best play experience in accordance with the mobile environment by applying a new interface and operating system while reproducing the atmosphere and strategy unique to the original. The average playing time was set around 15 minutes.
