Typhoon Quinta expected to come out of PAR tomorrow, Classes were suspended in some areas

Typhoon Quinta will continue to hit the western part of the country until this Monday afternoon.  According to the latest bulletin of PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), the typhoon center was last seen 125 kilometers west of Coron, Palawan, or 120 kilometers in the part of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.  It has winds of 125 kilometers but an hour (kph) near the center, and gusts of up to 150 kph.  PAGASA estimates that the typhoon will leave the western boundary of the Philippine Area of ​​Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning but is expected to intensify in the next 24 to 48 hours.

In signal no. 2 are Oriental Mindoro, Calamian Islands, and Batangas.

While lowering to signal No. 1 is:

southern part of Zambales (San Antonio, Castillejos, Subic, Olongapo City), Bataan, southwest of Pampaga (Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Masantol), southwest of Bulacan (Hagonoy, Paombong, Malolos City, Bulacan, Obando, Meycauayan City), Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon including the Polillo Islands, Marinduque, Romblon, northern part of Palawan (El Nido, Taytay) including the Cuyo Islands.

In the Visayas, Aklan is also Signal No. 1 and part of Antique ((Laua-An, Barbaza, Tibiao, Culasi, Sebaste, Pandan, Libertad)

Classes in some areas of the country canceled


Classes in some provinces have been canceled today, Monday, October 26 due to typhoon Quinta.

    Las Piñas
    Mandaluyong (October 26)
    Muntinlupa (October 26)
    Pasay - San Juan (October 26)

    Cavite (October 26)
    Camarines Sur (October 26, with work in government offices)
    Laguna (October 26, including work in government offices)
    Occidental Mindoro (October 26, including work)

Pre-school to senior high school in the areas of: Quezon City

Meanwhile, Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado and Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco Jr. also announced the suspension of jobs in all government offices in their respective provinces this Monday.

Also in all government offices in the province of Batangas.
