Typhoon Rolly approaching PH, increasing strength, before landfall - PAGASA
The typhoon in the eastern Philippines has maintained its strength in recent hours. But according to Pagasa, it could be even stronger before the expected landfall in Southern Luzon this coming weekend.
Around 4 p.m. when the said tropical depression was found 2,125 kilometers east of Central Luzon.
It is blowing at speeds of up to 55 kilometers per hour and moving in a northeasterly direction at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.
"Typhoon Rolly will move northwestward or west-northwestward today through Thursday, then southwestward by Friday towards Bicol Region-Eastern Visayas area," PAGASA said.
On the forecast track, it may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Wednesday evening or Thursday.
