Charli D'Amelio loses a million followers on TikTok for rude behavior and making a paella disgusting on a Youtube video
Charli D'Amelio, the most followed person on TikTok with 98.6 million followers, has suddenly lost a million of them because of her YouTube video wherein she was seen making faces of disgust while a chef explained the ingredients of the Valenciana version of paella that he had prepared.
The influencer, who decided to transfer her fame to Youtube as well, opened a channel with her family in the style of the Kardashian reality show which they have called The D'Amelio Family.
In this channel, the family has been uploading content periodically to increase its number of followers, but its latest content has caused precisely the opposite, causing it to lose a million followers only in the first hours since it was published.
In the video, the entire family appears around a table for dinner, and bringing as a guest beauty youtuber and make up artist James Charles. For that dinner, they had Aaron May as their chef.
The chef prepared a Spanish paella for them, and that was when Charli, and Dixie -her sister-, began to make gestures of disgust towards the prepared dish because they did not like it. They also found a snail on the plate, which turned some of the disgusted faces into vomit.
Dixie D'Amelio gags after tasting the dish, causing her dad Marc D'Amelio to say, "Don't be so dramatic," to which James asks, "Is she being real?"
Dixie then leaves the room and throws up as mom Heidi D'Amelio remarks, "Classic Dixie." Meanwhile, 16-year-old Charli asks, "Do we have any Dino Nuggets?"
Upon returning Dixie says that the food was "good, but then there was a salty part on it that was not good," adding, "it tastes like chicken, and then I tried the salty part and everything came up."
During dinner, Charli, who boasts 98.8 million fans on TikTok complains about not hitting 100 million yet.
"Ugh, I wish I had, like, more time because imagine if I hit 100 mil a year after hitting a mil," Charli says, to which James replies, "Was the 95 not enough for you?"
She answers, "Well, I was just like saying like, even numbers."
The creator of the paella, chef Aaron May, took everything with humor. But not so much of the followers of Charli D’Amelio, who are making her pay for her behavior at the table with dizzying abandonment in social networks.
Despite the stir it has caused, the video has not been deleted. But Charli D’Amelio wanted to clarify that “at no time” did she pretend to disrespect the chef. My team and Aaron May himself convinced me to try the snail even knowing that my reaction was going to be bad," she explained.
Many of the comments blamed an ugly attitude on the part of sisters Charli and Dixie: "Dixie and Charli were so rude to the chef ... he cooked them delicious food," said a follower. "I don't know who Charli D'Amelio is, but she is rude for making faces at a chef. It is disrespectful. I hope you lose money," pointed out one user.
Charli D'Amelio is known for being the first Tik Tok influencer to become famous with her videos after performing choreographies that were imitated by thousands of millennials.
The 16-year-old girl opened her account in 2019 and just one year later, she was close to 100 million followers.
After the success, she did not hesitate to catapult her sister Dixie, actress and singer, and her parents to fame. All of them have also become 'influencers' and have obtained millions of followers on their social networks.
