Kang Daniel and Twice's Jihyo breakup: Kpop idols dating ended after more than 1 year
Kang Daniel and Twice member Jihyo ended their relationship after it was exposed for more than a year.
According to a report by Korean media "Dispatch" on November 10, a source told them that Jihyo and Kang Daniel were unable to meet due to a busy schedule, so they broke up, saying that they will focus on work, including preparation of the album... etc.
Kang Daniel and Park Jihyo met in 2018 after being introduced by acquaintances. The dating news were exposed in August last year.
At the time, Kang Daniel was still working as the center of 11-member K-pop boy band Wanna One, which disbanded at the end of 2018 after the members’ contract expired. He launched his solo career after Wanna One.
Their relationship became public just less than two weeks after Kang Daniel debuted as a solo artist with the release of his album “Color on Me” on July 25.
A source told Dispatch that,
“the two have a clear goal. Because they focus on producing an album, the time to meet has been reduced.”
“Kang Daniel and Jihyo have recently decided to break up because they feel like they have more important things."
On the same day, an official from JYP Entertainment confirmed the news stating,
“After confirming, it is true that they recently broke up.”
Right now their music activities are in progress. Kang Daniel is currently preparing his new album, and Jihyo has recently released the official album "Eyes Wide Open" with the group Twice, and is currently using the new song "I Can't Stop Me."
