The heir to the throne is said to have been infected with Covid-19 in April, but did not make his disease public.
In March, Prince Charles announced that he had Covid-19. The British heir to the throne then went into self-isolation. In June it was announced that although the Royal was considered recovered, some of his symptoms would still persist.
Now the British tabloid media, citing a supposed palace insider, are reporting that Charles' son William is said to have contracted the corona virus. According to The Sun, the prince is said to have tested positive for the virus back in April.
William is said to have been in quarantine at his country estate, Anm Hall in Norfolk, and was treated by palace doctors.
"He was having difficulty breathing, so naturally everyone around him panicked," the anonymous source told the Sun.
That was probably the reason why Williams' disease was not made public. After his father was infected, there was no further concern for the population, speculates the source close to the palace.
"There were important things to do and I didn't want anyone to worry," said William at the time.
The 38-year-old is said to have continued to work in his quarantine despite the infection. William made a total of 14 phone calls and video calls during this period. "He really wanted to go about his duties normally," claims the insider.
The report has since been picked up by other British media as well as the US press. The claims about Prince William have not been confirmed by the palace so far.
