Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins have a particularly lucrative cinematic connection and they do not intend to give it up. Warner Brothers today approved the production of the film "Woman Woman 3," following the success of the second film in the film series about the superheroine, "Wonder Woman 1984," when it was released on Christmas day. The film's expanded "DC" universe earned $ 16.7 million during its opening weekend streaming and $ 85 million worldwide.

Gadot is known to play the character of Wonder Woman, also known as Diana Prince, an Amazon warrior whose job it is to protect humanity. Jenkins won praise for directing the first film in the 2017 film series, "Wonder Woman," the most lucrative film of all time starring a woman. She is also responsible for the most profitable home opening by a director and for becoming the first director in an American superhero film studio.

"While fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, which prompted the opening weekend of "Wonder Woman 1984," we are excited to be able to continue the story with our true wonder women - Gal and Petty - who will once again sum up the cinematic trilogy they have already planned for a long time,"

said Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, in a statement.
