Blinks are rallying around Blackpink's Lisa after a series of screenshots went viral that exposed offensive remarks toward her hometown of Thailand as well as crude, racist comments.

In case you haven't noticed the worldwide trending hashtag #RespectLisa is topping the list of the latest viral hashtags, Blackpink fans around the world are coming together in support of one of the band's members, Lisa, who was a victim of unnecessary hate and discriminating remarks.

This all went down on Tuesday, when text messages from a group chat were leaked onto the internet that revealed intensely hateful and racist comments toward Lisa, undermining her success and discrediting her talent, but mostly dehumanizing Thai people and her home country of Thailand as a whole.

In other screenshots of messages between a group of people, many crude comments were made regarding Lisa's appearance in a negative and discriminatory way.

“I really think about what Lisa did to get that much value,” said one comment. “I don’t know if she slept or make out [sic] with somebody but there is something wrong.”

The comment went on to include claims and tirades against Thailand in general.

“Lisa is Thai. I don’t wanna be racist, but Thailand is such a sh*tty country,” it said.
“They are number one in woman trafficking, and I also think Lisa is not a virgin because … they are selling the virginity of the kids who [just] reached [adolescence] ... I think in that way she don’t [sic] have anything to lose."

After screenshots of the group messages made their way around the internet, Blinks rallied together to get the hashtag #RespectLisa trending, as awell as demanding respect for her and her hometown.

Many fans tweeted out messages toward Lisa and how much she means to them, like one user who wrote,

"ALL BLINKS STAND BY YOU LISA. WE WILL PROTECT YOU WE RESPECT YOU A LOT. YOU DESERVE TO BE LOVED. WE LOVE YOU LISA FOREVER."

Another Blink issued a tweet saying,

"You have no right to hate/criticize/discriminate people for where they come from, the color of their skin, their preferences, waht they do in their private lives if they don't hurt anyone, etc. #RespectLisa #RespectJisoo #RespectRose #RespectJennie."

And this fan tweeted,

"A hardworkin inspiring bub deserves only good things in the world! #RespectLisa WE LOVE YOU LISA."

As many fans know, unfortunately this isn't the first time Lisa has been scrutinized and publicly shamed by trolls...back in January of 2019 at the 33rd Golden disc Awards, a slew of Internet trolls attacked her appearance after Blackpink stepped onto the red carpet.

According to reports, commenters were taking aim at her look and what she was wearing.

But it's not just Lisa who is constantly harassed by online trolls...just last month, her bandmate Jisoo endured a similar situation after she was cyberbullied for not being as fluent in English as the rest of the group.

#RespectJisoo went viral as supportive Blinks came for xenophobic haters, explaining that Jisoo is South Korean, her native language is not English and that Blackpink's music is sang mostly in Korean.
