DITO launches commercially in Visayas and Mindanao with welcome offer of P199 'real unlimited' | DITO to launch in Metro Manila in a few weeks

The Philippines' third telco player, DITO Telecommunity officially launches in key areas in Visayas and Mindanao.

It's services are now available in 15 cities.  Ten physical stores will also open in time for the commercial rollout.  These establishments will sell SIM cards, phones, and broadband lines, among others.

Three thousand sims and 300 handsets were also handed out to frontliners across the large cities.

DITO is expected to launch in Metro Manila in a few weeks.

Before it's March 8 rollout DITO announced a welcome plan.  The customers can pay P199 pesos for a DITO sim which has unlimited data, unli text, and unli call to Dito sims.  Promo period is available from March 8 to March 31.  DITO's SIM cards are also 5G-ready.

DITO Telecommunity, formerly called the Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, was selected as the third telco player in the Philippines in November 2018 challenging the duopoly of PLDT and Globe.

The telco company is 60% owned by companies controlled by Davao based businessman Dennis Uy, who also serves as Dito's CEO, and state-owned China Telecom owns the remaining 40%.
