Gen Z superstar Olivia Rodrigo stopped by the White House on Wednesday, July 14 to talk about the importance of young people getting vaccinated against Covid-19. 


The 18-year-old was at the nation's capital to meet President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci. She talked and record videos about the importance of getting vaccinated. The videos will be posted on her social media.

The first video she recorded for the White House had a straightforward message. 
"It doesn't matter if you're young and healthy. Get in the vaccines about protecting yourself, your friends, and your family. Let's get vaccinated," 
Rodrigo said.

Olivia stepped up to the mic wearing a matching pink plaid blazer and skirt to deliver her quick message.

The "Diver's License" songstress had a busy day at the White House. Before she met with President Biden and Dr. Fauci she took the podium at the press briefing room.

"I am beyond honored and humbled to be here today to help spread the message about the importance of youth vaccination.  
I'm in awe of the work President Biden and Dr. Fauci have done and was happy to help lend my support to this important initiative. It's important to have conversations with friends and family members encouraging all communities to get vaccinated, and actually get to a vaccination site, which you can do more easily than ever before, given how many sites we have and how easy it is to find them at vaccines.gov,” 
Rodrigo said to a press audience.

Olivia teased her White House visit on Tuesday when she commented on President Biden's Instagram post where he asked his followers who was willing to help to get young people vaccinated, to which Olivia commented, "I'm in, see you tomorrow at the White House!"
