Apple revealed its new iPhone but also sharing the headlines with something else. Apple is also releasing an emergency software update for iPhones, iPads, watches, and Macs.

That is because there's a new spyware circulating out there in which the attackers can get into your iPhone without even sending you a bogus link.

Experts call it a Zero Click Exploit because it does not require a user to click on a link or download a file to allow someone to take over their device. Instead, the spyware exploits a flaw in the iMessage app, allowing others to gain control of the device without the user knowing they've been hacked.

Behind this spyware is called the NSO Group, an Israeli software company that made the so-called 'Pegasus' spyware. Authorities worried it can access the camera, the mic, texts, and emails. This spyware gets in just by knowing your cell phone number.

Apple for its parts believes there is not a threat to the vast majority of its users but says it will work to defend all of its customers.

The company is alerting all users to update the software on their devices. Go into settings, look for the software update and then download it.

Yesterday, Apple introduced four versions of the new iPhone 13, with improvements like sleeker and more colorful outsides, faster, processing chips inside, brighter screens, better, graphic displays, and sharper cameras.
