On July 29, 2023, a concert in Las Vegas featuring the popular rapper Cardi B took an unexpected turn. The "Bodak Yellow" singer was performing on stage at Drai's Nightclub when an audience member threw a drink at her. In response, Cardi B, known for her fiery personality and quick reflexes, retaliated by throwing her microphone into the crowd. This incident has now led to a battery investigation by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. 


According to a video that has since gone viral, Cardi B and her DJ had asked the audience to "splash her down," but not on her face. However, an audience member disregarded this request and tossed a drink at her. This action prompted Cardi B to throw her microphone towards the fan. The microphone appeared to hit the fan and another woman before ricocheting into the air.


Following the incident, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department opened a battery investigation. A woman, who has not been named, reported a battery case to the police one day after the concert. It remains unclear what provoked the audience member to throw the drink, but fans have speculated that it may have been due to the DJ cutting the music during Cardi B's performance.


This incident is part of a worrying trend in the music industry, where concertgoers have been throwing objects at performers. Other artists such as Bebe Rexha, Harry Styles, and Latto have also been victims of similar incidents. Cardi B has expressed her concern about this issue, stating that concerts have become a dangerous space and place.


In a twist of irony, the incident has sparked allegations that Cardi B was lip-syncing during her performance. After she threw her microphone into the crowd, her vocals continued to play over the PA system, leading some fans to question the authenticity of her performance. These allegations have not been confirmed, but they have added another layer of controversy to the incident.


Cardi B addressed the incident indirectly on social media by retweeting a video of the encounter with the caption "Jealous Ass Bitch" and a link to "Jealousy," her new single with her husband, fellow rapper Offset. However, she has not made any direct comments about the incident.

House Approves Marcos Day (September 11) in Ilocos Norte

President Ferdinand Marcos The House of Representatives has approved in the third and final reading the law declaring September 11 as a special non-working holiday in the province of Ilocos Norte in commemoration of the birthday of former President Ferdinand Marcos. Nancy   While Momoland's Nancy is being damaged by illegally manipulated photos, the agency has taken a tough response. Nancy's agency, MLD Entertainment, said in an official statement,  “Recently, illegally manipulated photos related to our artist Nancy are being distributed online and on social media. "We will take a strong legal action against anyone who distributes it," it said.
