On August 30, 2023, NewJeans' Danielle released a soulful cover of BTS's V's song "Rainy Days." The song is one of two pre-release singles from V's upcoming solo debut album "Layover." 

Danielle's rendition of the song deeply resonated with her, prompting her to share her thoughts on the track. She recalled how the song brought her back to a rainy day from her childhood, where she would sit by the window and look outside.

Upon hearing Danielle's captivating rendition of his song, BTS's V expressed his admiration for her talent. During a recent Weverse Live streaming session, V chose to share Danielle's cover of "Rainy Days." 

Throughout the duration of the song, V was visibly moved and didn't hold back from praising Danielle. He signaled his approval by lifting his two thumbs up in a sign of praise, indicating his admiration for her singing prowess. After listening to the track, V said, "It's so definitive."

V also took to his Instagram Stories to share a link to the cover, writing that he was "touched by [her] message" of her cover, accompanied by a happy, teary-eyed emoji. This reaction from V was well-received by fans, with many commenting on how impressed V was with Danielle's cover.
