Balenciaga, for those who don't know the brand, think about the preposterous $650 Simpsons t-shirt or the dirty tattered beat up old shoes that retail for nearly two grand.  Well now, the high-end luxury brand has hit a new low. James Bond Car Auctioned: Aston Martin DB5 goes under the hammer at Christie's auction house

No Time to Die Aston Martin DB5 stunt car James Bond's iconic Aston Martin DB5 replica stunt car went under the hammer for US$ 3 million at Christie's auction house in London.  Arguably the most stylish car ever made, it is the ultimate collector's prize, as it was used for stunts in the blockbuster Bond movie 'No Time to Die.'  The silver birch Aston Martin is the only DB5 stunt car from the film released for public sale.  It is one of eight stunt replicas build for the beloved franchise by Aston Martin and is fitted with 'Q Branch' modifications.  It finally sold to an anonymous bidder for a cool $3 million, with all proceeds going to The Prince of Wales' Charitable Fund.  The auction was held to mark 60 years of James Bond films.  The sale also includes 60 other items of Bond film props and memorabilia, including 007 edition watches, a motorbike, and items from old classics like the Faberge-style egg from the 1983 Roger Moore movie, 'Octupussy....

Calls to Return 'Kohinoor' Diamond back in India after death of Queen Elizabeth II trends

Kohinoor Diamond in British Crown (Pic: Twitter) Indians now think it's time for it to return home.  With the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, there are cries for the Kohinoor diamond to return home to Southern India. Queen Elizabeth II, UK's longest serving monarch died at 96 on Thursday ending her 70-year reign.  Charles will now become King, the oldest person to ever assume the British throne.  He delivered his first address to the nation and as the world mourns another change will happen regarding the Kohinoor Diamond. The Kohinoor, a 105.6 carat diamond, is currently set in a platinum crown which was created for Queen Elizabeth for the 1937 coronation of King George VI and  was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth II when she ascended to the throne. Seoul flooding (left) Parasite movie featuring banjiha home (right) The heaviest rain in 115 years pounded Seoul and surrounding area leaving 11 people dead and 8 others missing.   Among the victims was a family of three who lived in a semi-basement known as the Banjiha (Ban = Semi Jiha = Basement).   A woman with a developmental disability, her younger sister, and the sisters teenage daughters got help after their home was flooded by the heavy rains but failed to escape. YuYu Hakusho Live-Action Series on Netflix: Images reveal Takumi Kitamura as Yusuke Urameshi

Netflix series "YuYu Hakusho," which will be exclusively distributed from December 2023, revealed a new poster showing Takumi Kitamura (Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, Tokyo Revengers) as the main character, Yusuke Urameshi. Netflix's poster showed the green school uniform unique to Yusuke, and his regent hair which is irresistible to fans of the original. Shinzo Abe's shooter Tetsuya Yamagami believed ex-PM associated with religious group

Ex-Japanese PM Shinzo Abe was assassinated on Friday while speaking at a political rally in the western city of Nara.  An unemployed 41-year old man has said he carried out the killing using a homemade gun. Back at the junction where the small rally is taking place, a 41-year-old man named by police as Tetsuya Yamagami is standing just meters away.  In his bag a homemade shotgun. Shinzo Abe has been speaking for about a minute when he's approached from behind.  Two shots ring out.  Mr. Abe was hit in the neck.  His security rush at the gunman who dropped his weapon on the ground behind him.  Police later confirmed that it's some sort of improvised homemade weapon.   Mr. Abe is taken by ambulance to a park where he is transferred to a waiting helicopter. Five hours later Shinzo Abe was declared dead.  The hospital made efforts to revive Mr. Abe but unfortunately he passed away at 5:03pm.  There were two bullet wounds in his neck.  H...

Coach Saves Swimmer from Drowning at FINA World Championships

A swimming coach being hailed as a hero after saving a competitor from drowning at the FINA World Aquatic Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday. Artistic swimmer Anita Alvarez isn't just good at holding her breath, she can do it while performing a mix of swimming, and gymnastics underwater.  But at the end of her solo performance at the World Championships in Budapest, Anita fainted and sank to the bottom of the pool. First to react was coach Andrea Fuentes, a former Olympian herself, she dived in lifting the unconscious swimmer to the surface. This was such a scary scene at the swimming championships.  The images showed what coach Andrea Fuentes did when 25-year-old American Anita Alvarez fainted during her solo routine and sank to the bottom of the pool. With lifeguards not reacting at all, Fuentes dove in to save Alvarez.  Another American swimmer jumped in as well to assist once Fuentes got Alvarez to the surface.
