 In 'Crash Landing On You,' Hyun Bin played Ri Jeong-Hyeok, an elite member of the North Korean military while Son Ye-jin played Yoon Se-ri, a South Korean heiress who crash lands in North Korea while paragliding in Seoul.

It tells the story of a billionaire heiress Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) who accidentally paraglides into North Korea and eventually falls in love with North Korean army captain Ri Jeong Hyeok  (Hyun Bin).

Before starring in 'Crash Landing on You', they starred together in the 2018 film 'The Negotiation,' and the first dating rumor broke out. The reason was that the two looked exceptionally close.

The rumor began after pictures of them together at a supermarket in America began circulating through social media. In the images, Hyun Bin is pushing a shopping cart while Son Ye Jin was carrying groceries. However, at the time, the two agencies denied dating rumors, saying, "It's actually unfounded. It's right for a visit to the US, but it's an overseas schedule."

An eyewitness allegedly caught them together playing golf and getting dinner at a restaurant with her parents. These claims were immediately denied by the actors' respective agencies within the next day, with Son Ye Jiin's agency clarifying that her parents currently reside in Korea, so they could not have possibly been eating dinner with the pair in America.

After the news of their relationship was made public, Son Ye Jin took to Instagram to share a photo of bouquet of flowers. She also talked about relationship stating Hyun Bin is a good man.

"It’s a new year.

Appearing in front of all of you with news about my personal life rather than work-related news for the first time, I wonder why I feel so embarrassed..

Hmm…mm..umm…

Yes, that’s how it turned out..^.^

Haha…

Umm…^^;;

I’m not sure what I should say, but I thought I should at least say something to all of you..

It feels very awkward and strange..^^;

I’m thankful to have been able to meet a good person, and I’ll work hard to tend [the relationship] with care…

The love and support that all of you give me, I’m always keeping it in my heart.. I hope there will be many good things in the new year. Be healthy. Ppyong."
